When the Rain Falls

As the rain falls to the pavement
I hold the paper over my head
And the crinkle of it sends chills
Through my every bone
So I throw it down and
I run away instead

As my feet crunch to the cobblestone street
I give a solemn smile
To every person that I meet
It's just a front to hide my pain
So many days are wasted
Cause of rain

So I step into the great unknown
And I glance around, but I'm still alone
With no one to call my own
I'll fall-
Cause flying is way too hard
When the Rain Falls

Puddles grow larger as I sink closer to the ground
I scream a cry for help
But nobody is around
To hear me wish that I could go back
To the way things
Used to be

So I step into the great unknown
And I glance around, but I'm still alone
With no one to call my own
I'll fall-
Cause flying is way too hard
When the Rain Falls
