Ballad of the Wise

He walked along the path
A long winding trail
Sheltered by the trees
And all was dense and dark
His body ached in pain
There was no sky to see
Then suddenly he stopped in awe
There was an opening a wide meadow
And majestic mountains cradled the valley

Tears came rolling down his face
A mystical moment took place
And he sat there, lost in time
There were no more yesterdays no tomorrows
Down in this valley, in this meadow
All that remained was the beautiful present

It took him by surprise
Struck by the beauty
He stayed there, paralyzed
He would always remember
How his heart softened
Became so tender
All around him was so welcoming
And it seems nature started to sing
A song created just for him

A rush of love overwhelming Took every fibers of his being
And he sat there, lost in time
There were no more yesterdays no tomorrows
Down in this valley, in this meadow
All that remained was the beautiful present

Seems like nature always rewards the wise
Who can still see its paradise
And when they close their eyes can still hear its voice

Seems like nature always rewards the wise
Who can still see its paradise
And when they close their eyes can still hear its voice
