The Leather Tramp

I cautiously enter the disused warehouse and i am
Assaulted by a carrion smell
It freezes my blood and I can feel sweat beading on my back
Until my eyes get used to the shadows
The place is cold wet gloomy but deserted, so safe enough
To make it a home for the night
This is what I do seek shelter my daily routine since half a decade
Find somewhere I can lay my head
Somewhere I can hide myself from the world
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend all is ok, ok
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend, but it's not fine at all
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend all is ok, ok
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend all fine
(Out, let me out)
What would you be if you had read
More than a book in your life
Maybe not that right-minded damned prick
Damned prick
Soaked things and I'm shaking like a leaf
Under a gray sky swollen with water
A promise of hours and days fighting the cold wet winter breath
There's not always a shelter to be found
Arch time on the way to live a leather tramp life
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend all is ok, ok
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend, but it's not fine at all
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend all is ok, ok
Would you mind if I'd rather spend my time on my own
Than having to pretend all fine
(Out, let me out)
What would you be if you had read
More than a book in your life
Maybe not that right-minded damned prick
Damned prick
What would you be if you had read
More than a book in your life
Maybe not that right-minded damned prick
Damned prick
