Intruders About

When you turn all the lights off
And after you have fallen asleep
That's when they start to play games with your furniture
And make the floorboards go creak
Moving the chairs across the floor
Moving them back to where they were before

They're taking notes, at the foot of your bed
There's nothing you can do
Come morning they'll be gone

When you rummage around in the closet
Looking for the measuring tape
You might think you lost it you might think
That it's somehow misplaced
Look at the ceiling, look for footprints
Look for those things that don't make any sense

Then you will know, you've got intruders too
There's nothing you can do
Come morning they'll be gone
