We often think about an Ekphrasis as being about just one piece of art
But an Ekphrasis might reflect many different works of art
An Ekphrasis might be a poem, it might be a story
In fact an Ekphrasis can be any kind of writing
The important thing is that an Ekphrasis is more than just description
It interprets the artwork by using the imagination
It might tell a story, it might draw out the underlying meaning
I still spend a lot of time writing visual art
Language is an area that I had consistent strength in
The idea of turning a visual image into language, it appeals to me
And one of my favorite painting ever exists because of Ekphrasis
But an Ekphrasis might reflect many different works of art
