Polaroids

I took the photos off the wall
I took down all the polaroids, but I can't remove them all
I don't want to forget a friendship with a friend I won't forget
And yet, I'm on my way to you

And we were so far gone
It was time for us to move on

There's a polaroid of us with ice skates
I took down many more, but that one pictures our first date
The people in the polaroids aren't pulling back and forth

But I'm glad that we have the polaroids to prove it once was there
