My Book Story

A tattered book in despair
Was hidden under my chair
And when I opened it up
It told me what to do
It whispered in my ear

"Don't let them make you tear
Don't let them make you bear
The weight of all their problems
Keep living how you want
Don't listen to those cunts
Keep on loving who you love
And you'll succeed I promise"

So I listened to the book
Everyday it's advice I took
It kept me on my path
And now I'm feeling good
Everyday I opened my friend
I'd listen to his words and
Then I'd show off my new mindset
It really made my life swell
Then one day things changed
It wouldn't open
It wouldn't budge even if I nudged
Was it really all over?
Next day I saw a torn page
laid upon my nightstand
I read the page and it said,

"Dear friend I want you to understand,
Why I left on such short notice.
many more await for me,
I have given you my words."
It continued,
"I helped you the best that I could
And I hope you remember good
All the lessons I taught you along the way
Goodbye my friend, gooday.
Sincerely, friend."

I cried and cried and I cried all day
But then I realized "hey!"
"I should be happy that it happened,
A good mindset goes along way"
It taught me lessons
That I still remember to this day
What a good friend it was
Then I realized I can do the same

Spreading kindness became my game
Now everyone knows my name
I really wanna make people feel love
Let them soar high above
Have you heard the news?
There's been a new breakthrough
The earths been cleaned of violence
And all is well
