Macy's Memoir

Macy's fighting cancer, raising her hands up to the lord
Searching for her answers, I cant help but feel so torn
Born to give life but life seems to be slipping through her palms
Heard melodies and psalms when I rested in her arms
Calm like Jehovah's voice in the storm, tear drops without warning
She watered seeds, so important (she watered seeds, so important)
Too many countless steps were taken before me
I seen her walking through the flames to help her kids carry torches
Your loving was the gasoline that made the fire burn
I admired the kind of drive inside that made your tires turn
I learned that worrying was never your cup of tea, you disguised it for us to see
Cause instead you rather smile, that's cutting deep with no cutlery
Macy's such a marvel, skin caramel, eyes glittering like marbles
Never deprived us of your heart, you gave it all and never partial
Just know that I took notes
Now every time I put this pen to page, a piece of you I wrote
Climbing up this mountain, never mind how to steep the slope
When life threw me for a loop, you were teaching me the ropes
In hopes, I multiply these blessings (in hopes I multiply these blessings)
You paint the bigger picture with these words you always spoke
That's why I love you...

This is Macy's memoir
This is Macy's memoir (just know I love you)
This is Macy's memoir
This is Macy's memoir
