Eggshell - Live

Swinging miles away
on a nearly broken vine
I'm guessing we got used to nothing,
guessing I was blind
Where did all this take us,
are you coming back to life?
You should've walked away from me
and taken my advice

And tell me something special before I sink

I would've taken you away,
swept you around
And that nothing would've mattered
The promises we made,
the times I held you down
And that nothing would've mattered
Wishing that you could
Stare deep into my eyes
I wonder if you still could tell me
I am doing fine
Tired of getting nowhere
Every time you cross my mind
Apparently we lost each other
Time had passed us by

And tell me something special before I sink

The poetry began to break and the rhyme was never found
Blame it on our cover

Crashing through the waves
of the nearby setting tide
Got knocked over backwards
and the salt entered my eyes
Where did all this take me?
Was I coming back to life?
I'll sink into the sand
And let you swim out past the tide

And tell me something special before I sink
