Blinded By Desire

Cycling in the rain
On a cold Friday night
To meet the ones I call my friends
But they don't

And there i see through the murk
A patronized group of familiar faces
On the verge of getting beat up
By some junkies

Well, once and for all
I had to prove my worth
And I take a hit for them
Blinded by desire to be treated well...

I lay there in the hospital bed
Speculating if I did right
Drifting off to conclusion
That I'm finally a part of this group

I'm no longer alone
And I opened my eyes
It was silent and vacant

I get up, to the sound of chattering birds
I wish they were chattering people instead
All the rains cleared and the skies blue
It was morning I hope
All I cared was if they know

Two days had passed by
As I see the familiar faces
Walking past me as if
They don't know me

Once and for all
I took a hit for them
And I proved my worth
Blinded by desire to be treated well...
