I don't wanna see your pandemic art
It's bad, it's so bad
And I know that you're so sad
Well you can't just hold people hostage
And make them listen to you talk

So you just learned what racism is
And you realize why it's such a big deal
And you didn't have anything better to do
And so you wanna tell the world how you feel
"This isn't right and that isn't fair!
I'm committed to cleaning up this mess!"
But in five or ten months, this will be all be behind
You'll pay your taxes where the schools are the best

Well, I don't wanna see your pandemic art
It's bad, it's so bad
And I know that you're so sad
But you can't just hold people hostage
And make them listen to you talk

It's hard for everyone
But we're not going through the same thing
So for the rich and famous doing talk shows from home
Please stop talking
About how we're all going through the same thing
And monologuing alone is a drain
I've heard far more interesting solo rants
From a crazy person on the train

And, I don't wanna see your pandemic art

In these unprecedented times
Artists new and old are coming together
To funnel the trauma of the past year into creative works
Digitally conceived, recorded and presented
And it's all not very good
They tried their best
Limitations breed creativity and garbage
