The Abyss

I went on a hike Sunday
But I got lost in the woods
There was no one around
The reception was down
But I didn't care cuz I was alone

Sometimes you need space
To think about all the things that have changed
Sometimes you need time away
To get out and escape from your pain
The world is big
But you can live your life away from fear
Just get out of your head
Release the stress instead

I know that I belong here
My thoughts seem so clear all alone
I found the other half of the whole and I 'll
Never let go
I have a home back in the city
Where people are needy and greedy
But nothing feels like this
Where you're alone in the abyss of the dark

I woke up suddenly
I had fallen' asleep against a tree
The sun was down
There was no one to be found
So I guess I should leave

Sometimes you need space
To think about all the things that have changed
Sometimes you need time away
To get out and escape from your pain
The world is big
But you can live your life away from fear
Just get out of your head
Release the stress instead

I know that I belong here
My thoughts seem so clear all alone
I found the other half of the whole and I 'll
Never let go
I have a home back in the city
Where people are needy and greedy
But nothing feels like this
Where you're alone in the abyss of the dark

Ohhhhh
Ohhhhh

The world is big
But you can live your life away from fear
Just get out of your head
Release the stress instead

I know that I belong here
My thoughts seem so clear all alone
I found the other half of the whole and I 'll
Never let go
I have a home back in the city
Where people are needy and greedy
But nothing feels like this
Where you're alone in the abyss of the dark
