The Adam & Eve Song

In the beginning, there was a woman and a man
There in the garden standing hand in hand
One for the other it was all in God's plan
Oh how He loved them as only He can

And their love was for each other And it was understood
And He gave them what they needed And saw that it was good
And when all was said and done They were one

The garden was beautiful it had all of their needs
All of the animals and the fruit from the trees
The birds of the skyways, the fishes in the seas
And it was all for them to do as they pleased

But the Lord had one commandment To stay away from the fruit
Of the tree of good and evil The knowledge of it's root
Would open up their eyes And they would surely die

And then it happened the serpent raised his head
And he deceived Eve and when she was misled
Adam decided the fruit he would be fed
And then it changed all that had been said

And the Lord came to the garden And saw that they had turned
And He passed His judgment on them For all that they had learned
He said you came from dust To dust you shall return

Out of the garden we all live our lives
Some in the darkness some in the light
Some of us lose it some get it right
Some of us get there some remain in flight

But the door is always open It's open thru the Son
Who died for all our sins and Once again will come
And if you choose to love him You're among the chosen ones
