Half A World Away

Restful, soothing sand surrounded
By a sapphire foam
Eagerly awaited
Did I reach the end?
The end?
Torch in this world
Harsh and vile
The pure kiss of the ideal
Covers without clinching my heart
My eyes wide open
The colours resonate with voices
I once heard a whisper
Guiding me to this land

Half a world away from the tides
That used to lull my weary bones
Despair and hope walk side by side
As expectations turned to stone

But was it fate? Destiny?
Those daggers stairs on which I walked
Since I stepped into the unknown
A rush of undisclosed joy overwhelms me
Much too real to be merely a trick to see
But such feels out of the blue
Must be too good to be true
Watching
Blue shadings of these mysterious stretches
Where lights melt & flow
Have I been misguided?
Captivated by some grave lights
I have been misguided?
By all these lies
Which have drown me down
How could I recover the beacon
If there's no more sea to sail
Am I adrift or at home
Among this barren wasteland?
I could have buried all the radiance
The same that faded away
When I understood these shores
Were not the place where it lied
But in ruins...
Motionless I breathe
Scattered and deceived
Hollowness within
Or am I only realizing?
Beyond this nihilistic delusion
Maybe I found a path
I can create despite the mess
From the sea spray of this undying journey

Half a world away from the tides
That used to lull my weary bones
Despair and hope walk side by side
As expectations turned to stone
