Garden of Eden

If I was too old
I would grow a garden
With nowhere to go I would tend to the grass
With every day older
The soil would harden
The bird on my shoulder would call it world class

But I know the sun doesn't shine every day and the flowers
They don't always bloom
I know the wind has been calling my name
But to me it feels all too soon
But mama of nature said time will go by
And she tells me girl don't shed a tear
Cause time has been mean to me plants
They all die and it feels like she left me right here

Now that I'm older
I planted a garden
With poppies in rows and I tend to the grass
Cause people grow older
