Waves Poem

Waves come in with tact to drown out every other thing
And gather around my rock, a place I've found in fear
I wear the crown up here (I wear the crown up here)
And waves come in

Waves arrive and settle on the coast that they were destined for
Rest upon the beach, a fort against a rock that stood the test of time
Waves arrive, arrive

And waves can sing, a voice is carried just above the ocean floor
Even little onеs that break upon the open shorе
Waves can sing, they tell me things I can't ignore
I've heard them in my dreams before
Waves can sing

Waves retire and edge back towards the long blue line again
Freeing up the sand that first had let me in
And I see that they're loyal to the sea
They're not loyal to me
They're loyal
Waves retire
