Pool Party

Driving 'round an unknown town
Giant lawns and the trees torn down
Arms sticking to the plastic seats
I don't know where to put the real me
We arrive to an unknown house
Giant windows and the pools in-ground
Sick and sweaty in the summer heat
I don't know who to show the real me

Cuz I don't even want to be here
Nobody wants to swim with me

Some dudes grilling up hot dogs
Some kids singing unknown songs
I'm in the corner petting someone's dog
How did the hours all get so long
Maybe I should just jump inside
The waters cool and the sun is bright
But the pools looking like a stage
So I stick to the shadows inside the cave
