Missing Dragon

Missing Dragon

I've had this Dragon
Since I can remember
The start of school
Each September

Hangs out with me
Only me
None of my friends ever can see

Sleeps 'n snores under my bed
We dream in colour, our fav is red
Goober and Spit, that's it, that's it
I call him Goober, he calls me spit

Missing Dragon
Not sure where he's at
Was just here, as a matter of fact
Hope he's flying enjoying the view
He gives me courage to let my colours shine through

Breathes out fire, never gets bit
Flown cool places, on his back I sit
His eyes glow blue when the skies aren't lit
We've surfed on waves, explored dark caves

BBQ'd sardines, crocodile grits
How I got my name, those foods make me spit
He's my goober and I'm his spit
May wander off, but, never do we split

Missing Dragon
Not sure where he's at
Was just here, as a matter of fact
Hope he's flying enjoying the view
He gave me courage to let my colours shine through

Took my bare feet for a walk on the beach
Stepped on what, I thought was a leach
Careful inspection, sad detection
A dragon spine, of my Dragon friend mine

All black and blue, I cried, it's true
He grew too old to play, to stay
Drifted out to sea
Far far away

Missing Dragon will never come back
Mystical goober, once blue turned black
At night when I look out from my window screen
Blue glowing eyes, wink at me

Wait up, wait up, i've something to say
Wait up, wait up, I need another day
Wait up, wait up, I've more say
You never leave me, you're never far away
Wait up, wait up
Wait up, wait up
Wait up, wait up
