glow

I'm turning in my sleep.
My eyes too numb to know.
I can't explain this empty wave,
This crushing glow.
Meanings get louder.
I try to bite my tongue.
It's not in my own mouth,
And static starts to fill my lungs.

Don't know how to feel,
And I think you're the same.
Sometimes I wish I could give more,
But I wasn't built that way.

Remember that time,
Drunk and playing with your hair.
Was it really you?
Or was I even there?
What if I don't feel strongly about anything involving you?
Meaningless means nothing,
And now there's nothing I can do.

Don't know how to feel,
And I think you're the same.
Sometimes I wish I could give more,
But I wasn't built that way.
