The Night He Fell

Curtain Falls
As the lights hit the crowd through a Mid-Summer's haze
Sounds in the air
Too excited to see what had happened just then
He couldn't hold his drink
He wandered off to think
But in the dark he lost his feet
And fell into the water

No one could hear his screams
No one could hear his screams
No one could see him thrashing as they danced around the water's edge

The lights from the stage
Turned to the wailing sirens
The looks on their face
For the man the crowd had forgotten
The memories I will Keep
As they pulled him from the deep
His body lay with earth
His tears lost in the water

No one can hear his screams
No one can hear his screams
No one could see him dying
As they danced around the water's edge

The crowd moved away
like waves of angry silence
Fools on parade
Laughing as they went on their way
No one knew his name
But his tale end not in vein
For those who stood upon the stage
Your death will not be forgotten
His death will not be forgotten
The man who fell in the water
