The Lair of the Mad Magician

Could it be?
I heard a sound
Who's there?
It's open
Be my guest
Come in
Don't be afraid
Visit my lair

Much time has passed
since someone met this old magician
Villagers make sure of it
preventing sheeps like you to reach here
I presume you want something from me
What is it?
Hopeful yet crippled, you, hobble behind me
ha ha ha ha!

Be careful, do not step on these, boiling crystal bottles
Ignore my quirky pets or do brace your sight for impact
As earlier said you need a healthy leg to stand in battle
For many years I bent nature's designs by means of witchcraft
Handful of tree roots
Dash of black waters
Sweet gleaming potion
Drink this concoction

From this wearing burden, free me!
Embrace the whirl of magic
The shape shifting art
New dimensions that start

Another test has gone right, you may feel nauseated
Your figure will fit well with the beings I created
Look me in the blind eye and say I'm not a genius
Both legs are disabled, your shape more homogeneous
Early for paling
Enchantments remaining
Knowledge to be learned
No limbs to be spurned

Cursed be the day
in this cave I strayed
Too late to regret
stuck you're in my net
Hopes set on me
vanished with my gait

Stop yelling your folk are being enslaved
They hate me
For I've exceeded the moral bounds
to save what I cared for

Dance and laugh
till you have enough
Here where dwells the mad magician
Meet my friends
the trees and the plants
Stay! Don't run!
Dust the books
new hex to pursuit
Here where dwells the mad magician
Fill this glass
new bounds to surpass
Wait! Come back!
Now!

From this wearing burden, free me!
Embrace the whirl of magic
The shape shifting art
New dimensions that start

Struck by a spell
Wings flourished in me
Through the den's depths
I flee the ordeal
Rushing home
in the skies I will roam
