The Pacific Northwest

I come from a place
Where forests line the interstate
With trees so tall they seem they're bound to break

Cold gray waters, pink sunsets
The smell of rain I won't forget
And part of me will always feel at rest
In the Pacific Northwest

Constant rain and lingering mist
Brings a sense of loneliness
But I find comfort in it's gentle kiss

Summertime brings shades of green
And berries that can grow like weeds
And views that make you never want to leave

Take me back again
Take me

Driving roads at night
Mesmerized by city lights
Between the water and Seattle skyline

Stop and comb the rocky beach
And watch the boats sail out to sea
A hint of ocean lingers on the breeze

Take me back again
Take me
Take me back again
Take me
