Angels (Act 2)

They sewed up your lips
And told you to pray
They took away your house
When you had no place left to stay

Tangible hearts
Often carved out alone
Lead you to a place where you end up in nowhere ungrown

I am chasing a future in hopes that I might resurrect
Myself back into life I've never felt less alive
I'm watching the time as it comes to collect, a desirable life I'll neglect

There's got to be more than this
A meaningful bliss
That asks can I let these pastures grow?
And finally let those angels know

So tell all the angels
They better not show
I'm not meeting my maker
No tonight I won't grow

I need silence, I need silence
I need some rest
To stop these awful troubled voices
Inside of my head
And they rage and they rage
Like where the wild things are
They're causing a ruckus they don't care who you are

When you beg and you plead for them to quiet down
They get louder and louder I can hear them right now
And the words that I screamed must have went unheard
Now the walls watch me sleep as I weep on the floor
