A Teddy Bear for Christmas

Every shop on every street
Is filled with treats and sweets to eat
The toy shops burst with dolls and cars
And rocket ships that fly to mars

But high upon a shelf you'll see
A bunch of bears all called "Teddy"
And sometimes kids just pass them by
Preferring screens or toys that fly

Santa knows the gifts we see
The gifts we want the gifts we need
He sends his elves out every year
To find the best gifts we'll hold near

Every kid needs a Teddy Bear
With cuddly arms and fuzzy hair
Every kid needs a Teddy Bear
A Teddy Bear for Christmas!

Christmas morning hear the noise
As children open up their toys
They love their gifts its plain to see
There's one gift left beneath the tree

Everyone can't wait to see
Papers torn and it's a teddy
It's clear that bears the favourite toy
Of every child each girl and boy

Santa knows the gifts we see
The gifts we want the gifts we need
He sends his elves out every year
To find the best gifts we'll hold near

Every kid needs a Teddy Bear
With cuddly arms and fuzzy hair
Every kid needs a Teddy Bear
A Teddy Bear for Christmas

For every kid needs a Teddy Bear
A Teddy Bear for Christmas!
