They destroyed the Menorah so precious, and all the olive oil used to light
The Maccabees, the few against the many, fearlessly they chased them all away
And they returned to our Beis Hamikdash, they thanked Hashem and rested on that day

But they could not find any pure oil with the Kohen Gadol's seal so tight
They searched, they looked all around, and finally they found one jug of oil left to light
And with Hashem's great miracle, the oil burned for eight whole days and nights

I run around the block to the bakery, so many flavored doughnuts over there
