Channel Nine

So, what's new Mrs. Newswoman?
I see you on three, six and ten.
I'll move the rabbit ears to picture you.
Foil in hand to hear it too.
Are you pressed for time?
Is there nothing new tonight?
I'm going to bed and when I wake,
I want the dish on what's new that day.

Station to station, I'm surfing around.
Somebody help me, the cable is out.
All I wanted was to know what was new.
So, I'll read the paper just to spite you.

Oh, why must I waste my life, sitting here, pale and wide awake?
It's a sunny day outside, but she is looking fine.
I'll go out once I check out what's on channel 9.

Station to station, I'm surfing around.
Somebody help me, the cable is out.
A minute ago the screen was quite clear. Now it's all snow.
That's weather I fear.
All I wanted was to know what was new.
So, I'll read the paper just to spite you.
