The Devil's Highway

Had my run with the devil in 2017
I was down at the bottom no I couldn't be seen
I like to have my share of fun, but that life ain't for me
And every now and then I like to let my dark side breathe
When I'm drunk I like to rough it up
I've been known to look for a fight
You never know what'll happen that's why I carry my knife
Got myself into trouble more than twice
Gotta think one of these days I might lose my life
I know I gotta slow down on this crazy train
But this all must stem from my life of pain
I dug myself from the bottle and that burning flame
I've been walkin' the line and all I wish for is fame
I've cleaned my act up but that sin still remains
I guess that's just part of life traveling on the devil's highway
I've held a few fine lookin' ladies
Nothin' like blonde hair and blue eyes callin' me baby
They never end up hangin' around too long
I'm startin' to think I must be doin' something wrong
That devil knows girls are my weakness
I keep gettin' rowdy Lord that must be his secret
I dug myself from the bottle and that burnin' flame
I've been walkin' the line and all I wish for is fame
I've cleaned my act up but that sin still remains
I guess that's just part of life travelin'
I guess that's just part of life travelin' on that devil's highway
On that devil's highway
