Invocation

When you look inside, what do you hear?
If the soul and the body
Walk with me, on this path
From, first breath

A white box barring his being
Had walls bearing his bashings
By the body desperate
A single bulb overhead
Dimmed, clicked, buzzed
And gave a circular glow

His torso-shaped attempts at art
And matters of the spirit, stared
Back at him, in the walls marked
With his bumblings in the box
Bearing his being

He's not the stone
So free absolutely
In the holes where
Hand had punched
And foot had kicked
Multi-colored light
Jabbed back through
