A Touch of Love

Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels and have not charity
I am become as sounding brass or tinkling cymbals whenever they ring
Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and give my body to be burned
Though I do everything good under the sun without charity nothing is learned

My life is nothing
Charity suffers long
Till I discovered
Charity is kind
There are these three
Faith, Hope, and Love
But the greatest of them all is a touch of your love

Just a touch of love
You'll be surprised at what you do when it chases all your fears away
Just a touch from deep down in you
Sends the darkest cloud away
Turns the night into the day
Softens the hardest of the hearts
Will win you over from the very start

And though I have the gift of prophesy and understand all the mysteries
I would become as an unworthy vessel despite everyone that I pleased
Though I have all knowledge and faith to move mountains and have not one ounce of love
Picture if you will a waterless fountain with no true purpose from above

My life is nothing
Charity suffers long
Till I discovered
Charity is kind
There are these three
Faith, Hope, and Love
But the greatest of them all is a touch of your love

Just a touch of love
Will make the wounded spirit whole
Forever wiping all your tears away
Just a touch from deep down in you
Brings about a miracle
Touch you right down to the soul
Puts a smile upon your face
Gives you a child-like feeling to embrace

Just a touch of love
Will always keep the joy around
Will lift your spirit up when you feel down
Just a touch from deep down in you
Makes your presence a delight
Turns every wrong into a right
Brings to light your honesty
Shows the "wonderful" now that you're free

Just a touch of love
Helps you make it through the day
Before those obstacles turn you away
Just a touch from deep down in you
Moves the deepest fear aside
All through life will be your guide
Gets rid of all the emptiness
Brings about a new world of bliss

Just a touch of love
While you're abiding under grace
Love your neighbors as you love yourself

Just a touch from deep down in you
Neither death nor present things
Neither principalities
Neither powers or angels
Will separate me from the love of God

Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels and have not charity
I am become as sounding brass or tinkling cymbals whenever they ring
Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and give my body to be burned
Though I do everything good under the sun without charity nothing is learned

And though I have the gift of prophesy and understand all the mysteries
I would become as an unworthy vessel despite everyone that I pleased
Though I have all knowledge and faith to move mountains and have not one ounce of love
Picture if you will a waterless fountain with no true purpose from above

There's no greater love, that no one man can show
That he lay down his life for his brother
No greater gift can he bring down from up above
When his life's a sacrifice for all others
Step right up chalk one up for the Master
