First Impressions

I know what it's like
To make a lousy first impression
Oh oh oh
I try to make a joke
And I'm the only one who laughs
I know what it's like
Stuck in several stressful situations
As they fall apart simultaneously
I know what it's like
To suddenly have a lack of table manners
At a fancy dinner
No matter how I try
The food goes everywhere but the plate
Don't get me wrong
I understand the laws of dinning etiquette
I just mess them up
I'm always messing up
I love to mess things up

People say there's a reason
For the things you can't achieve
But I don't believe it
I won't let them limit me
Always trying way too hard
But it's never quite hard enough
I'm getting pretty good at calling my own bluff
But when will it come to fruition?

I know what it's like
To make a mountain of a molehill
And vice versa
Cos every little thing
Yeah it's the ending of the world
And I don't know why
But every time I conquer an insecurity
Another comes along
Siempre siento mal
I know what it's like
To be a fervid individual
Oh oh oh
I try to have some fun
And people ask me if I'm high
I understand I'm easily amused by insignificance
That's just who I be
Simple complexity
I'm just being me

People say there's a reason
For the things you can't achieve
But I don't believe it
I won't let them limit me
Always trying way too hard
But it's never quite hard enough
I'm getting pretty good at calling my own bluff
But when will it come to fruition?

I know what it's like
To make a lousy second impression
Oh oh oh
And it makes it even worse
When it's not better than the first
And everyday
I apologize so much that I'm annoying
No it's not my fault
Maybe it is my fault
Ok it's all my fault

People say there's a reason
For the things you can't achieve
But I don't believe it
I won't let them limit me
Just let me live my own life
And follow my philosophy
I work hard I think I'm lazy
I know that isn't true
I have big ambitions
I know what I'm gonna do
I know that I could fall
I'll break a leg you'll see
No matter what happens
I'll still be proud of me
