Stand Tall

With the rising of the tide
And an overwhelming sense of pride
It is hard for one to find
An easy way to ease a troubled mind

Everyday that passes I'm a little more afraid
That somehow you've mistaken your ignorance for strength

Or make a vote for freedom when you know who'll they'll chose
The election no-one wanted these fools but everyday in the news
More propaganda and gloom, no thunderclouds on the moon
That's where I travel when I run away
Flip mode brown paper negative I bun away
Sometimes I meditate to block the low vibrations
That be slowly penetrating all my summers days
Maybe this is just a phase
Maybe we're just sleeping and well just soon awake
Maybe the realness that we cherish has become the fate
Maybe all the angels have become the snakes
Maybe the jewellery just disguise the chains
Don't you feel this life insane
But we still stand up for our rights the same
While my youngers on the street struggle to write their name
But when all nations finally rise and fall
We will stand up tall

Getting hard for me to breathe
In the the state of this reality
I know you define me by the criminal that's in your eyes
I'll rise above the things you think of me
