Law School
For Christmas this year my dad bought me a used car
With 107, 000 miles on it so far
I named her thunder cause she's gray like a storm cloud
And every time you turn the ignition you start to rumble real loud
Oh my brother, he is eighteen, two and a half years older than me
And he's headed off to Austin to go and get some new degree
And I think he's going to law school when he gets done with that
Gonna spend his life arguing with people
But he'll make a bunch of cash
I am young
So I must be stupid
I must be dumb
Just another idiot
Oh and I'm a fool and I'm a fool and I'm a fool
I am a fool and I'm a fool and I'm a fool
For believing
Oh I know I'm getting older
It's hard to face the facts
In a few short years I'm not gonna be cut this much slack
And right now I'm a sophomore, I got two and a half years left
And once those years are gone I'm gonna be just like the rest
Just like the rest
I don't want to go to law school
I don't wanna go to law school
My parents went to law school
I think that's how they met
But that doesn't matter anymore, they got a divorce
When I was a kid
And I'm a fool, I'm a fool, I'm a fool
For believing
I am young
So I must be stupid
I must be dumb
Just another idiot
Oh and I'm a fool and I'm a fool and I'm a fool
Oh I'm a fool oh I'm a fool oh I'm a fool
For believing
