My Intention

When I met you so warm as it started
And everything was alright
You were kind, cute, light hearted
So many worlds uncharted
But with the pressure, yea and were flat broke
I'm starting to think this is a joke
Because it's affecting you and your affecting me
And I can't be who I want to be

And hurting you wasn't my intention
And I can still pick up when things go south
But I do think it's worth a mention
That you listen to the words coming out of my mouth

Because there's truth to what I say
Even though you don't like it
You can cry, you can get mad
You can yell at me or you can't fight it
But I'm trying to help you
Hell I'm trying to help me too
And If we can't get past this
Then we're bound to be through

Can I help you with my explanation
Of all of my determination
To love you as much as you deserve
I can't write that with narration
She slowly walks away from me
Do I lay down what I believe
It might be a big mistake
Its one I'm going to have to make
