Gateway to 421

A frog has been uncovered
Beneath a rotten trash heap mound
I got no box for the feral cats
But they still come around
Walk the bottom of the big hill with me
To cross 421
We had to move a dead friend and it broke our hearts
But before our time is done

He's gonna be a flower
Gonna start to grow
Use all the best parts
Of that friend we know

I'm turning right today
To see the mountains
Blue and Green
In your eyes
I slipped across the road
But you caught me falling
So thanks to you
I'm at the other side

Now that we've seen 3 bullfrogs
Each of a different size
It's safe to say we know our neighbors
When we sleep on the hillside
Well, now we've seen the Osage Orange
And the trees grow apples soon
Time to hunt for rocks in the morning
To build our home in the afternoon

Gonna sleep till dawn
Right on the ground
Gonna wake up and wonder
What a place we found

I'm turning right today
To see the mountains
Blue and green
In your eyes
I slipped across the road
But you caught me falling
So thanks to you
I'm at the other side
I'm turning right today
To see the mountains
Blue and green
Right in your eyes
I fell and hit the curb
But you caught me falling
So thanks to you
I can stand up right

Well, stand up now
We're gonna stand up

Stand up right
Stand up right
Stand up right now, mama till the day I die
Stand up right
Stand up right
Stand up right now, mama till I'm in the sky
I've been walking for a million miles, little mama
I could walk for a million more
Because I've seen your face
I'll stand up right
The road was filled with beasts and outlaws
I could have been one of them
But I held your hand to walk 'cross the road at the Gateway
I'll stand up right

Stand up right
