In small hours aren't we interrupted by our largest thoughts
Grappling, entangled, we can't let go
Rigidity will break us, but we can't keep bending over forever
So hard to admit what's beyond our control

A dust mote caught in a beam of light
Hiding cannot help us, but we can't keep playing naïve forever
Step out with each other and into the night
