As I Remember Anabelle

Well that circle was finally completed
And I can't say that it was worth it
Cos it appears that I have been defeated
Although at least I know that I deserved it

But as I remember Anabelle
And everything I knew but could never tell
It's starting to make sense

You know that I'm enraptured
By the memories of those distant days
The moments could not be captured
But their essence can still be conveyed

But as I remember Anabelle
And how she stood guard at her well
It's finally making sense

I'm looking back with full moon clarity
On everything that I have lost
But it's only now that I realize the severity
Of a wasted youth and all these idle thoughts

What do I have power over
In this hurricane life of struggle and strife?
Oh where oh where is my pretty bluebird?
How many years have you been away?
I still have more to say
