Alone In My Room

Alone in my room
Thinking of you
This bed's made for two
Me and you

I go to the kitchen for exercise and a drink of water
Nothing to do today so I'll just do what I want to
2pm I'm still dressed for bed
Of everything here there must be a book I haven't read
No one here to care if I drink a bit of bourbon
What I do from here? Well I'm rather uncertain
The light's coming in so I'd better close the curtains
Alone just me and bourbon

All these video games are starting to look the same
I get distracted on my quest to kill what's his name?
We've come so far from sprites to 3D
I just paid $100 to play the sprites in HD
1080 to 4K, it's just more to pay
My eyes can barely tell the difference from a tube TV
They don't make them anymore, they aren't stocked in any store
So I've just got to upgrade with the industry

I can't sleep
Solved so many problems I never knew I had all so pointlessly
I'm alone with my thoughts and I know what they want
But there's no way to have it that won't break my heart

I was hoping I could see you today
If I can't then a phone call would satisfy my needs
I know what you're gonna say, but say it anyway
Because I like the sound of your voice

Hey baby, won't you come over?
I can't promise you I'm still sober
What we could do is quite a puzzle
While we figure it out we might as well snuggle

Alone in my room
Thinking of you
This bed's made for two
Me and you

I'm sorry I drank too much last night
You don't want to hear that anymore and that's fine
I can't say I didn't mean it because I do
How many words does it take to say I miss you

Alone in my room
Thinking of you
This bed's made for two
Me and you
