End of Part One

I was out early, that morning
Without the waffles in the toaster;
The coffee still brewing in the cafetière;
A deep glow from the cereal I left behind.
My yesteryear, thorn jacket slung over my shoulders,
The little hatchback left in the forecourt
As I climbed the steep street;
Cobble stoned and grey -
The hill, no better.
In my trouser pocket, an empty chocolate rapper
And a cut credit card in my wallet.
I'd showered early, that day
With the anti-dandruff liquid.
It didn't taste too good
After a night on the cognac bottle.
Down the hill-side to industrial estate city,
She turned her head as I walked towards
Electronic, flat-back territory.
It was the Cologne, leaving home -
I never leave home without the cologne.

J'adore a Bore -
The new men's new fragrance from Razzi Products.

"Never leave home without the cologne."
