Holly and Ice

My hands are numb with frozen wind
And I can barely hold my pen
So I close my eyes
Why does the cold hurt worse when you're warm inside?

I see a winter wonderland
The snow bird trills his mournful tune
The sunny snow will keep its glow
Until it melts to mud below

Though the blood red berries
Sharpened green, they call
The frozen river's glistening
While we deck the halls with holly
In the dark, instead of silence sleigh bells ring
Are you listenin'?
'Tis the season of holly and ice
Come Alive

And we all know we've not been nice
But we're still met with cheer and spice
The household's still and silent
And sleep has finally come with ease tonight

And the Christmas spirit is
Everyone's vice
And we're cheered by the vision of
The holly and the ice

Though the blood red berries
Sharpened green, they call
The frozen river's glistening
While we deck the halls with holly
In the dark, instead of silence sleigh bells ring
Are you listenin'?
'Tis the season of holly and ice
Come Alive

And once again the Christmas lights will gleam
And once again I hear the angels sing
Come Alive
