Howling

Driving through the night with these windshield wipers
Thinking about my life wrestling my eternal fire
Staring at the moon and the stars I desire
Wonder if there's room could I grow more dire

Cause we're wolves and the wolves grow tired
And our woods have become our surroundings
Stay on ground for the fear of drowning
Fear clouds, I'm not much for flying

I see the future everything but dying
So much to live for just figure out the timing
I've earned this cloak of fur and interlining
Soul to my spirit, my pride to my surviving

Cause we're wolves listen for that howling

The vibe of the night with eyes wide open
Out here everything is lost
Every pause is a chance for me to listen
A stampering foot, or a scampering paw

Taking a second to vamper my claws
Menaced in middle transforming in parts
Not simple a riddle complex as a god
A Native in laments, as Lupus to graves

Life until death, a purpose to graze
Mouse or a snake, our predator prey
Heart beats remind me to live everyday
As my nature embraces I'm not a shame

We're Wolves, just listen for that howling
