Where Flames of Satire Dwell

Such limited glow
Reveals what nature chooses to show
The ultimatum it has set (before death)
To recede the overgrowth
I met that hulking mass
It beckoned for heavy slumber
To live amongst the lost titans
Of the old dead world
As I tread through the waters of rotten kings
The blood of the mire churned, defiling the reigns
Through the edge of the blight
Salvation smiled as if it were truth
The broken tongue bellowed the deepest cycles
Mixing them till a timeless pit
I saw redundancy
(For all that is) For all that is, once was, and will be
Must drift and meet the indistinct
Time will hide its face
And shine as if it was new
Eight flames danced in satire
The crude motions painted the night
I gave the ghost a name, heedless, numb to the flames
I'd rather burn out what's left
I gave the ghost a name, and the veil came undone
I cultivated my Decay
It reclaimed
