Westview Heights

I walk home, I'm hungry and tired
I got off at 8th street
And someone walks up to me
It's a crackhead
Yelling indistinct words
I just want to go home
There's the Crackmacs
Now I just want to have a shower but there's no hot water

This is what it's like
Living at Westview Heights
Sure, the view is nice
But what isn't is the screams at night

I've called 911 three times now
The operator knows my name
She says is it the guy with the machete again?
I say yes

"HEY! Get off the tracks!!"
I hear from my window at 3am
And then the train rumbles and shakes the whole building
Are these walls made of paper?
Cause I can hear my neighbour sneeze while waiting for the elevator

This is what it's like
Living at Westview heights
Sure, the view is nice
But what isn't is the fish smell in the front doors oh

Why can't we have a normal lobby
With more than just a bench?
There's a pool but it's closed due to COVID
So then why the hell am I paying rent?
