Morning in May
One morning one morning in May
I let the cool waters take my body away
And now no one shall speak of that morning
In May
Cause they all just stood there watching my body float away
And it started only a fortnight before
I dream of her in daytime, and Lord
And at night, only more
Lord we'd be together forever
Well at least until
At least until the Fall
But now it seems we won't even be
Together at all
For I felt the cold feeling just like the first winter's frost
Settle on our love till we both became lost
So I tried to call her to come on back to me
If she wouldn't I'd throw myself into the sea
If I can't have that lady that I've had only twice (times three)
Then I'll have none at all
So on that May morning
Down by the sea
I let the cool waters take my body from me
I waded until the water was past my knees
It was then that I felt my blood beginning to freeze
So I looked up at my god and I begged him please
I said "Hey Lord won't you take me peacefully?"
Still no reply so I began to cry and I felt my tears
Beginning to freeze
I heard voices on the shore
They were starting to roar
They were calling
Calling out to me
But as I turned around
It was then that I found
Just how strong the sea can be.
And now no one shall speak of that morning in May
Cause they all just stood there
Watching my body
Float away
I let the cool waters take my body away
And now no one shall speak of that morning
In May
Cause they all just stood there watching my body float away
And it started only a fortnight before
I dream of her in daytime, and Lord
And at night, only more
Lord we'd be together forever
Well at least until
At least until the Fall
But now it seems we won't even be

And now no one shall speak of that morning in May
Cause they all just stood there
Watching my body
Float away
