Summer Break

A window is open
I can hear the wind
A choir of white noise
With no words to sing
And shout

A brown leather chair
Sits on the cold, hard floor
Whose place is upon it?
We might never know
Until

I go and check the carpet it's on
With the shadows that rise from the floor and...
What?
*chuckles*

I'm sorry I haven't slept
In quite some time
Just pour me a glass
Of black mud and I'll be fine
For now

The door is on fire
Red marks everything
No places to hide
From all the darkened beings

My string's getting longer
With corroded green
And summer's break's over
With a beautiful day outside
