Fantasy

I don't get it
Why is everything so hard
I just want it to be easy
She never thinks that she is good enough
She always falls just short of her dreams
And everybody seems to let her know
She's not good at anything
She Tries all night
Fighting off her mind
But every step she takes something else pushes her behind
The weight she mights
It puts her in a cuff
She feels that everything she does is never just enough
So she leaves behind her own reality
It takes her to another world that no one else can see
And she's set out to find
This thing that makes her free
As she lets all her problems melt away and flow into this fantasy
Thoughts of failing haunt her repeatedly
She doesn't feel she's in control
There's only one thing that can brighten her
But they say it's all a waste
I try all night
Fighting off my mind
But every step I take something else pushes me behind
The weight I might
It puts me in a cuff
I feel that everything I do is never just enough
