Broken Skull

A rainy morning, It's lasted all my life
Always pouring, drowning me inside
My body's broken, it's ripped up and it's torn
And all the pieces are scattered on the shore

But it feels so wonderful when you hold my broken skull
And tell me that you'll try to make me whole
My heart begins to race when you caress my broken face
And try to find a place to put my soul

I'll never be empty as long as your near
Cause there's something inside you that brings me to tears
They water the garden inside of my heart
Feeding the vines that keep me from falling apart

And now we're happy and free from all our doom
The corpse you planted has now begun to bloom
This cruelest April has brought me from the dead
The pains of living are shaking in my head

But it feels so wonderful when you hold my broken skull
And shoo the dogs a-digging at my grave
My heart begins to pound when you lift me off the ground
And breathe a little life in my remains
