When We Were Young

Do you remember in the summer breeze
You would ride up on your bike and take me away from here
All those memories appear so clear to me
Laying in the grass we'd fall asleep
Or jumping into the lake we felt so free
And you were always there for me

I was standing quiet all alone
Then you came over and you smiled at me and i knew
If i took your hand you help me through
There was nothing that we couldn't do
We made mistakes but had to choose and there
Is nothing wrong with that you know
That's how you learn that's how you grow

Sitting on a tire swing
You would laugh out loud at the top of your lungs if you'd sing
We were young and could imagine anything
In the night catching fire flies
Or dreaming bout the future felt so bright
And filled with possibilities
