Nature Spaces

Damp green grass
And dew on the trees
Winding roads
And a gentle breeze

The sun's gone today
There's a couple of leaves
Here's a pile of twigs
What a sight to see

Now, I'm not one for rainy days
But at least I know they will remain the same
They'll never go
And they'll never change
They will always be
And they will always stay

The crackle of nature
And an earthy smell
A nostalgic sight
A melancholy spell

A setting from youth
A place so real it's sad
You must just forget this kind of "absence"
You can always go back

Now, I'm not one for rainy days
But at least I know they will remain the same
They'll never go
And they will never change
They will always be
And they will always stay

Times sure are quick
It is tough moving on
But it is nice just knowing
What is left isn't gone
It's the nature of life
And it's a truth so strange
You just have to remember such a finite place

I don't think then
Really often enough
I'm too absorbed in the now
Anyhow, I am stuck

Some days I forget
That I don't need to depart
From all those childlike days
Like swinging roundin a park

Oh I'm not one for rainy days
But at least I know they will remain the same
They'll never go
And they will never change
They will always be
And they will always stay

Thinking about life
The then and now
It's just great to connect them
And just realizing how

Yes, I'm not one for rainy days
But at least I know they will remain the same
