Ecdysis
This sanctuary here
A momentary sunlight
And when it'll disappear
I'll still be much disordered
Tossing stones again into a large polluted lake
Racket in the distance in an endless, stable loudness
Again the boredom hits me like a ton of bricks
Reminds me I was once a part of that endless, stable, distant mess
Every once in a while
The voices from the lake they sing to me:
"Leave it a day, we'll leave you too"
The grudge torments relentlessly, it leaves you when you're gone
Hold it tight!
Escaping, running barefoot deep into the forest
Excitement, the tears are flowing down my ankles
Being ambushed, kidnapped, pounded, fractured, shattered, swept up by desire
This lakeside, the sanctuary where I'm planted
Where I'm stranded
And still, beyond range an accelerating swarm
Hollow nothingness needle in a haystack
Discarded from an out flowing ocean
Sinking down in the lake while the reeling commotion slowly breaks up
Again the boredom
Reminds me I was once a part of that endless, stable, distant mess
Every once in a while
The voices from the lake they sing to me:
"Leave it a day, we'll leave you too"
The grudge torments relentlessly, it leaves you when you're gone
Hold it tight!
Down and out, back empty handed from the lake
Looking down at my shape I wish I could emerge after I shed my skin
I'll grab a plate, stick the fork in my old crust and let it crumble in my mouth
Once I had a friend, who came around and reached her hand
But it sure wasn't her fault that I have lost a screw
And then
(Oh, the rage!) At night in a fit of rage
(Wreckage and emptiness!) I've wrecked her brains out
(Oh, please, no!) And still I miss her
(I just want somebody to hold!)
The grudge torments relentlessly
And the voice goes on and on:
"Leave it a day, we'll leave you too" (leave you too)
The boredom! Ton of bricks!
