Don't Worry, I'll Protect Her

Look around
At the sky and at the ground
What do you see now?
Is it bliss with clouds?
'Cause I've seen her face before
Or have I? I can't quite recall
The only thing I remember is being stuck inside these exact four walls
Looking at paper
Don't worry, we'll protect her
I got my work done straight
And now we're lookin' face to face
Eye to eye, bat a smile and then say goodbye (yeah)
The lesson's reached its end and in my mind, me and her are friends
But that's not all I want (nah)
I want to connect and join up with her like a font
All joined up and what... I think life should be like with her all locked
But is that really it though?
I think I'm gonna roll like playdough
Probably gonna fail though, no lie
I can't even see straight, dust in my eyes
My acquaintance moves with the straightest of faces
As she leaves the premises, well, she's definitely not my nemesis (nope)
Something appears in my mind, like a deep smile
Caved in for a while
The type of dark you'd want to hide in like minutes turned to miles
And I'm sat here wondering
If these images will float over again
Because my mind's a pen
I'm both locked in and writing words in my head
Teacher says we can leave
So I grab my things and move like the finest of steeds
What's its name? Whatever...
I can't think straight, think I should get home for the better
It's making me down
Trying to get up and pick myself up from the ground
It's a nice carpeted floor though
I'm getting sidetracked, where the hell has she gone?
It's like she's disappe- oh, there she is
Almost left the exit
Or the entrance, whatever way you want to think about it
In reality, it doesn't matter
There's a main dish and your head is a platter
It's getting served on (trust me)
All these thoughts are getting hurled on
And it's making my head hurt
Making me think more, for the worst
It's like everything just falls into place at once
I'm a dunce
Quite a smart one, actually
I fell and landed on my two feet
That's quick thinking
Yeah, I will see her again (woo)

(Just leave it out, mate)
Your total comes to three pound twenty-seven
Cheers
So done
